NAS was delighted to attend the awards ceremony recently for the 2023 Social Care Wales 'Accolades'.  The TESSA (LLWYBRAU: PATHWAYS) service, provided by Adoption UK in partnership with NAS and its regions, had been nominated in the 'Building Brighter Futures for Children and Families' category.

These annual awards recognise, celebrate and share notable work in social care and childcare, play and early years in Wales whether this be the work of groups, teams, organisations or individual workers across the public, private, voluntary and co-operative sectors in Wales.

TESSA (LLWYBRAU/PATHWAYS) is a service that is provided across Wales for adoptive families who may need support through a mixture of peer support and input from the PATH psychology service.  Adoption UK provide the service in partnership with NAS with coordinators in each of the regional adoption services.

TESSA (LLWYBRAU/PATHWAYS) was highly commended by the judging panel who felt the service should be available routinely. One of the parents interviewed said  ‘TESSA is like a big warm fluffy blanket of support which surrounds you’.  Well done to everyone involved in the service, we hope it continues to go from strength to strength.
