Today we are launching a new campaign across Wales to encourage more people to consider adoption, as the number of children waiting for adoptive families continues to rise while the number of new enquiries to adopt have declined.

Entitled “Now is a Good Time”, the campaign draws inspiration from the powerful words of friends and family who supported adopters through their journey. It celebrates the everyday qualities—kindness, patience, love, and unwavering support—that often go unnoticed but are essential in the adoption process.

The initiative highlights real stories from adoptive families, offering encouragement and reassurance to those contemplating adoption or supporting someone who is. The central message is clear and empowering:

“You are kind. You are capable. You are ready. Now is a good time to adopt.”

The campaign is bilingual, with a Welsh-language version titled “Mae Nawr yn Amser Da”, ensuring inclusivity and cultural resonance across the nation.

As adoption agencies aim to reverse the downward trend in enquiries, this campaign serves as both a call to action and a celebration of the human qualities that make adoption possible.
